CHARLIE X MAX-BONE

March 25, 2019

If anyone knows me, they would know that I research everything there is to a brand, especially if it’s something that fascinates me. Well, a few weeks ago, I was browsing Instagram and came across the cutest post. For those of you that don’t know Mosey (the dog featured in the image), he is the fur baby to famous fashion blogger/founder of Gisou, Negin Mirsalehi (by the way her Gisou hair oil is to die for, in which I will share soon!). The link wasn’t linked as to where she got the bow tie so that’s when I began my research. I then somehow managed to find this image.

I had found the page! I scrolled and scrolled and could not believe how cute everything was. I clicked on their web link and discovered a section titled “Style” under the Shop Dog category. I fell in LOVE! I purchased two bow ties.

The shipment arrived in a rectangular box with two cute postcards inside. I was shocked at how amazing the quality was. I cut the tags and immediately put the Otis Bow Tie on my Charlie boy, and then the Kensington Bow Tie 🙂

They’re sooooo beautiful! The wool fabric just adds immediate elegance, especially on Standard Poodles 😉

If you guys are looking for a high quality, elegant accessories for your fur babies, I definitely recommend Max-Bone! I will be making another purchase myself soon! Currently eyeing the Andie Bow Tie! 🙂

THE BEST Paleo, Keto, High Protein, Vegan, Low Carb, Gluten Free Bakery

May 31, 2016

You guys ever get those days where all you want to do is EAT SUGAR? Ummmmm… stupid question right? Who doesn’t want to eat sweets 24/7 without putting on that extra weight?

Well a couple days ago after a long day of work, I didn’t want anything to eat but a big piece of chocolate cake, which is weird because I typically want a full savory meal since it’s typically around dinner time.

When I got home, I checked my mail. As I am opening the mailbox I see a white box. My eyes lit up because that typically means it’s a goodie package with something other than a bill! It was from…

A-Fit Bake Shop.

Say wha?!?! Talk about PERFECT TIMING!!!

I took the box out of the mailbox and smelled peanut butter immediately. My eyes lit up even bigger! 0_0 I hurried upstairs and tore the box open.

As I was opening the box, I see two items. The first one I opened were the Purest Peanut Butter and Honey Cookies. I immediately shoved one into my mouth.

MMMmmmmmm!!!! Peanut Butter!!!

What I loved about it was it wasn’t too sweet. It felt light and airy with just the right amount of peanut butter. I can tell it was made from natural peanut butter because it didn’t taste ‘thick.” If you don’t know the difference between all natural peanut butter before vs regular peanut butter, I highly recommend buying both just so you know the difference, because there is a difference.

Regular peanut butter typically has added “oils” or some type of “sweetener” with a few other ingredients. Natural peanut butter has 2 ingredients. “Peanuts” and “Salt.”

Next up were the Protein Peanut Butter Brownies.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Wow is all I can say. It was pure joy in my mouth.

I couldn’t even tell these were “healthy.” It was so good I swear I was at The Cheesecake Factory eating their “Chocolate Tower Truffle Cake,” which by the way has 2,500 calories and 85g of saturated fat per 3/4 lb according to consumerist.com!

What I really loved about this package was Alyssa Monique Lemus, the founder and baker, provided me with a sheet with all the macronutrients and ingredients.

Protein Peanut Butter Brownies

Ingredients: Natural peanut butter, organic honey, pea protein, egg whites, dark cocoa, baking soda

Nutrition Per 1 square: 150 calories, 8g fat, 15g carbohydrate, 1g fiber 5g protein

Purest Peanut Butter and Honey Cookies

Ingredients: Natural peanut butter, organic honey, oats, egg whites baking soda

Nutrition Per 1 cookie: 112 calories, 7g fat, 8g carbohydrates, 1g fiber, 4g protein

That day I ate a total of 2 Protein Peanut Butter Brownies and 1 Purest Peanut Butter and Honey Cookie. I then went to the gym and had a super duper leg session! These healthy treats satisfied my sweet tooth and fueled me for my workout with no guilt!

Highly recommended. Thank you Alyssa!

P.S. She now ships! She also has paleo, ketogenic, high protein, vegan, low carb, gluten free options for those that have food sensitives or on a specific diet, hence the heading 😉

New Goals

January 10, 2015

With only 10 days into the New Year, I can’t help but feel like I need to DO MORE.

This last week has been nothing but amazing. I got back in the fitness industry. (I went through a 4 month non-compete period when I resigned from my old company last August so I wasn’t allowed to do anything in the fitness/supplement world until Jan 1, 2015). But the wait was SOOOO worth it!!! I am so happy with my supplement company Nutrex Research, Inc. Read more about it here.

I am doing what I LOVE.

I love teaching/educating. Believe it or not, I use to be a 3rd grade teacher lol ^_^. So what is it that I do with Nutrex? I manage half the West Coast (California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington). I educate business owners, consumers and make sure supplement stores, gyms, etc. are stocked with Nutrex products. I also make sure supplement users understand what they are putting into their bodies. Everyone is different and just like food, one ingredient may work for you but may not work for the other. In order to determine that, I like to find out what your goals are first and from there I will find the right supplements for YOU. But of course, before I even recommend supplements, whole foods is the way to go. You cannot lose weight by taking supplements. You lose weight by proper exercise and nutrition. Supplements are here to…

add further nutritional value to (supplement) the diet.

To be honest, so many people are lazy nowadays and they don’t take the time to read anymore or research. When I first started my fitness journey back in 2010, I had no clue what I was doing. But how did I learn?

Google and YouTube.

I think a lot of people forget that this tool is the most amazing thing ever! It is free education. With social media growing tremendously these days, you never know what actually is the truth. In order to find out, you do your own damn research lol 😉 I also love bloggers! Here are my a few of my favs!

Healthful Pursuit

Leanne is the sweetest person ever and comes up with the most amazing recipes! She’s been through it all and has a recipe for any type of food sensitivity.

The Skinny Confidential

A lifestyle blog. Pure FUN! Lauryn is so gorgeous and her writing style is unique. She makes you want to keep reading. You’ll see…

PumpUp Daily

I love PumpUp Daily because every blogger on this page is just like US. Normal human beings with a goal and a vision… a vision to be better.

My goal this year is to help you guys grow as a person and to be happy with the body you were given. With so many coaches/teams out there nowadays, and the competitive world growing, it gets overwhelming. I know. I’ve been there. I’ve made mistakes. But the key is to not let that drag you down.

Appreciate every experience because this is how we grow. Find what makes you happy. If you want to eat that donut, do it. Just make sure you burn it off. How? Just…

Be Active.

Find out what you physically like to do. I love aerial fitness, running, spinning, and throwing heavy weights around in the gym ;). You don’t have to be inside a gym to accomplish your goals. Hiking is amazing too! If you have a hard time looking for new activities use Yelp. I think I use yelp as much as I use google lol.

My top 5 goals for 2015 are:

1) Build my brand

2) Start Vlogging

3) Takeover the West Coast with Nutrex

4) Turn IFBB Pro

5) Travel International

What are your goals?

Xo,

Sandy Lieu
